Day in the Life of a Registered Conveyancer

The industry has evolved enormously in recent years, particularly with the introduction of electronic settlements, but one thing that hasn’t changed is the satisfaction of helping clients navigate what can be a stressful and challenging process.

We asked Anne, one of our Registered Conveyancers, to tell us what she loves most about her role.

“I’ve been a Conveyancer for 20 years and I’ve always enjoyed looking after and helping clients”

The government requirements relating to property sales and purchases have certainly increased over the last five years. That has brought some new challenges and demands to the role, but in amongst that, it completely makes my day when a client contacts me to say thank you once settlement is complete. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that you have made their experience more pleasant and a little less stressful.

Although I’m still a Registered Conveyancer, my role at Tuckfields is now more of an administrative one, which I absolutely love, and I still get to use all the knowledge and experience I’ve acquired over the
years.

Part of my role is to review contracts and form 1 vendor statements to help purchasers understand the ins and outs of the contracts and the obligations that come with purchasing a property.

Our rules in South Australia are very different to those over the eastern border so I enjoy explaining all the complexities to our many interstate buyers.

I also review the Form 1 documents prepared by our Form 1 team, Tuckfield Agent Solutions, to make sure they are correct for the Agent to serve the cooling off to the purchasers.

Copper-coast

I’m so grateful to be living on the Copper Coast, in such a beautiful area, and I enjoy meeting with clients at our Wallaroo office to sign documents and complete identity checks.

The true beauty about the conveyancing industry is that no two days are ever the same. Every single day there is something different to attend to and no two files are the same. You certainly can’t get bored in this job!

And of course, our wonderful team at Tuckfields works very well together, everyone is always so helpful and supportive.”
